Throughout this article, we are going to discuss what a tracking is and how it can be used for your benefit. Click on the tracking in the desktop client to see the tracked words.
Let us consider Ram, an engineering student who is preparing for an upcoming exam. He usually searches the internet whenever he has doubts about a subject. In spite of not being able to speak English well, he used to note down unfamiliar vocabulary whenever he was reading books, browsing the internet, and reading newspapers/blogs etc.
In general, he writes down the vocabulary for a few days, then he stops because of other priorities. A process like this is not effective and it will be diluted after a short period
Now let's see what Nischi can do for Ram to learn the unfamiliar vocabulary.
By default, tracking is turned off. The first time you use this feature, you will need to enable it.
When you browse the internet, read a book, or study the news, you are likely to run into unknown words. Nischi will display the meaning of a word when the word tracking is enabled.
Upon copying any single word, Nischi will display the dictionary by default at the top right corner.
When sentence tracking is enabled, Nischi will detect all unknown words within a sentence or paragraph.
People tend to concentrate on weekdays most of the time. Therefore, tracking is enabled by default from Monday through Friday. You are welcome to change this based on your needs.
Tracking is enabled by default from 10 am to 6 pm.
By default, no application is selected for tracking; you will have to choose which applications to track.
Example: Google Chrome, Firefox and Adobe Reader etc.
As a free member, you will receive 300 words of tracking limit per month, and if you upgrade to a premium membership, your tracking limit will be increased.
When tracking is enabled, when you copy any word from your computer, you will see the meaning and translation on the right.
The tracked words are now displayed here, and they have been added to your default deck as well.
To view the cards, let's go to our default deck. Navigate to view cards section. When you click any card, you will be able to see its meaning along with its reference. This reference will make it easier for you to recall where you learned this word.
On clicking the reference, you can view the screenshot below.
In the study page, you can also see the references.
